87. Silly Mall

I start seeing Gangster Girl.
She’s got great English.
Can even free style rap.
In English.
I introduce her to ACE Richard to score us some lunch.
She’s cool as fuk.
To score the lunch Gangster Girl’s gotta go to Toul Kork.
I volunteer to go with her.
When we get there…there is a disused railway track along the side families cram into tiny rooms.
I follow Gangster Girl into one of these shacks.
Inside, 3 men and a woman sit around the pipe.
The pipe takes centre stage.
Gangster Girl and I sit.
I’m offered first hit.
I refuse, pointing to Gangster Girl.
She beckons me.
I take the hit.
It’s strong as fuk.
Stronger than the shit they sell the foreigners down at Sorya Mall.
Or…Silly Mall as Gangster Girl calls it.
We stop at The Red Fox bar on the way back.
Gangster Girl gets up close.

Don’t do bad, she says.
Don’t do drugs.
And stay away from Silly Mall.

It was a warning I should not have ignored.
